hospital = tedavi merkez, tedavi merkezi değildir.

the post office = posta ofisi

to the posta office = posta ofisine

I am going to the posta office = posta ofisine gidiyorum.

Türkçeden ingilizceye herzaman tam karşığını bulmak zor en iyisi ona uygun kelimeyi çevirerek bulmaktır.

Mesela Police Station means Polis İstasyon

eğer polis istasyonu dersek "the police station demek zorundayız."

police station = polis istasyon

the police station = polis istasyonu

to the police station = polis istasyonuna

I am going to the polis station = polis istasyonuna gidiyorum.

Bu daha bilinir.

Fiillerde ise work = çalışmak değil çalış anlamına gelir.

to work = çalışmaktır. mak ekini getiren "to" dur.

settle down = yola gel to settle down = yola gelmek

come = gel to come = gelmek.

love = sev to come = sevmek.

live = yaşa to live = yaşamak.

Basit bir kaç cümle ile başlamak istiyorum.
I want to start with a few simple sentences

Nasılsın.
How are you.

Burada kişi sen nasılsın diyor, biri size how are you dediği zaman "I am good" ve tekrar how are you diyebilirsiniz. Yani hem nasılsın hemde sen nasılsın anlamına gelir.


Here somebody is saying to you "hi" when someone says to you "I am good", and you can say again how are you . This means both nasılsın and sen nasılsın.
